في واحدة من أضخم العمليات الأمنية في تاريخ مصر، تمكنت الأجهزة الأمنية من توجيه ضربة قوية لعصابة دولية متخصصة في تهريب المخدرات، بعد ضبط كميات ضخمة من مادة الكبتاغون بالمليارات، ما يمثل إنجازا بارزا في مكافحة الجريمة المنظمة على مستوى البلاد.
وتمكن قطاع مكافحة المخدرات والأسلحة والذخائر غير المرخصة بوزارة الداخلية المصرية من إلقاء القبض على تشكيل عصابي دولي شديد الخطورة ويضم 11 عنصرا إجراميا 9 يحملون جنسية دولة أجنبية، كانوا يخططون لتهريب كميات هائلة من أقراص وبودرة الكبتاغون المخدر إلى إحدى الدول المجاورة.
وبحسب بيان رسمي للوزارة، أكدت التحريات أن العصابة اتخذت من ورشة نجارة بدائرة قسم شرطة أول السلام بالقاهرة قاعدة سرية لعملياتها، حيث كانت تقوم بطحن الأقراص المخدرة إلى بودرة، ثم إخفائها داخل طاولات خشبية بنظام الكبس لتجنب الكشف الأمني، تمهيدا لتهريبها عبر الحدود.
وأوضحت وزارة الداخلية أنه عقب تقنين الإجراءات، تم تتبع عناصر التشكيل بدقة، وإعداد أكمنة محكمة في القاهرة والجيزة، ليتم ضبطهم في عملية خاطفة.
وأسفرت المداهمات عن ضبط 900 ألف قرص كبتاغون مخدر، و200 كيلوغرام لبودرة الكبتاغون المخدر بما يعادل 1.2 مليون قرص مخدر مخبأة داخل ألواح خشبية، ومطحنة، وبندقية خرطوش، و4 أسلحة بيضاء، و5 سيارات.
وتقدر القيمة السوقية للمواد المخدرة المضبوطة في الدول المستهدفة بنحو 2.730 مليار جنيه مصري، ما يجعل هذه العملية واحدة من أضخم الضبطيات في تاريخ مكافحة المخدرات بمصر.
ويعد الكبتاغون من أخطر أنواع المخدرات المنشطة، ويُلقب بـ«مخدر الحروب» لاستخدامه الواسع في النزاعات المسلحة لزيادة اليقظة والقدرة على القتال.
In one of the largest security operations in Egypt's history, the security forces managed to deliver a strong blow to an international gang specialized in drug trafficking, after seizing massive quantities of Captagon worth billions, representing a significant achievement in the fight against organized crime across the country.
The Anti-Narcotics and Unlicensed Weapons and Ammunition Sector of the Egyptian Ministry of Interior succeeded in arresting a highly dangerous international criminal gang consisting of 11 members, 9 of whom hold foreign nationality, who were planning to smuggle huge amounts of Captagon pills and powder to a neighboring country.
According to an official statement from the ministry, investigations confirmed that the gang had taken a carpentry workshop in the First Salam police station area in Cairo as a secret base for their operations, where they ground the narcotic pills into powder and then concealed it inside wooden tables using a compression system to avoid detection, in preparation for smuggling it across the borders.
The Ministry of Interior explained that after legal procedures were put in place, the gang members were closely monitored, and well-prepared ambushes were set up in Cairo and Giza, leading to their capture in a swift operation.
The raids resulted in the seizure of 900,000 Captagon pills, and 200 kilograms of Captagon powder equivalent to 1.2 million narcotic pills hidden inside wooden boards, a grinder, a shotgun, 4 bladed weapons, and 5 vehicles.
The market value of the seized narcotic materials in the targeted countries is estimated at about 2.730 billion Egyptian pounds, making this operation one of the largest drug seizures in the history of drug enforcement in Egypt.
Captagon is considered one of the most dangerous types of stimulant drugs and is nicknamed the "drug of wars" due to its widespread use in armed conflicts to enhance alertness and fighting ability.
