أثار رجل الأعمال إيلون ماسك موجة نقاش كبيرة بعد كشفه مزايا روبوت «أوبتيموس»، مؤكداً أن هذا الابتكار قد يغيّر شكل الرعاية الصحية جذرياً. واعتبر ماسك أن التقنيات الجديدة ستسمح بإجراء العمليات الجراحية بدقة عالية وبلا أخطاء أو إرهاق، ما يجعل العلاج أسرع وأقل كلفة ومتاحاً للجميع.

وأشار ماسك إلى أن التطور المتسارع في مجالات الروبوتات ومشاريع شركتيه Tesla وNeuralink سيقود خلال العقدين المقبلين إلى مرحلة يمكن فيها للبشر نقل عقولهم رقمياً إلى الروبوتات.

وأوضح، في حديث جديد عبر بودكاست ليكس فريدمان، أن هذا التطور قد يتيح «رفع قدراتك دون أن تفقد ذاكرتك»، وهو ما اعتبره خطوة قد تساعد على الحفاظ على الوعي البشري وربما اكتساب «قدرات خارقة».

He explained, in a recent talk on Lex Fridman's podcast, that this development could allow for "enhancing your abilities without losing your memory," which he considers a step that could help preserve human consciousness and possibly gain "superhuman abilities."
