ذكرت عدة تقارير إعلامية ألمانية اليوم (السبت) أن فريق فولفسبورغ يعتزم إقالة مدربه بول سيمونيس، بعد أن خسر فريقه للمرة السادسة في آخر 7 مباريات في الدوري الألماني.

وكان فريق فولفسبورغ في طريقه للفوز على فيردر بريمن بعد التقدم بهدف، أمس (الجمعة)، لكن أصحاب الأرض سجلوا هدفين في الدقائق الأخيرة ليفوزوا 2-1، وأدى ذلك إلى أن تكون بداية الفريق للموسم الحالي هي أسوأ بداية له على الإطلاق في الدوري الممتاز، حيث تكبد 6 هزائم في 10 مباريات.

وكان سيمونيس خياراً مفاجئاً لتولي تدريب الفريق في فترة الإعداد للموسم بعد فوزه بكأس هولندا مع جو أهيد إيغلز.

لكن المدرب الهولندي لم يحصل على دعم كبير من الإدارة بعد خسارة الأمس، وتفيد تقارير لصحيفتي «بيلد» و«كيكر» بأن مصيره بات محتوماً. طبقاً لما نقلته وكالة الأنباء الألمانية.

وقال المدير الرياضي سيباستيان تشيندزيلورز للصحفيين عندما سُئل عن مستقبل سيمونيس: «أطلب منكم تفهم موقفي، لا أريد أن أقول أي شيء عن هذا الموضوع بعد المباراة مباشرة. سنعود الآن وبعدها سنرى».

However, the Dutch coach did not receive significant support from the management following yesterday's loss, and reports from the newspapers "Bild" and "Kicker" indicate that his fate has become inevitable, according to the German news agency.

Sporting director Sebastian Cheindzelors told reporters when asked about Simonis's future: "I ask you to understand my position; I do not want to say anything about this matter right after the match. We will return now, and then we will see."
