في مشهدٍ احتفائي يليق بالكتاب والخيال، كرّمتالشيخة بدور بنت سلطان القاسمي، رئيسة مجلس إدارة هيئة الشارقة للكتاب، الفائزين في الدورة السابعة عشرة من الجائزة الدولية لأدب الطفل العربي المقدّمة من «إي آند»، والتي ينظمها المجلس الإماراتي لكتب اليافعين، خلال حفل أقيم في مركز إكسبو الشارقة ضمن فعاليات معرض الشارقة الدولي للكتاب 2025.
حضر الحفل أحمد بن ركاض العامري، ومروة العقروبي، ومحمد العميمي، إلى جانب نخبة من الكتّاب والرسامين والناشرين العرب والأجانب الذين احتفوا بثمار عامٍ حافلٍ بالإبداع.
وشهد الحفل تتويج 5 أعمال في فئات الطفولة المبكرة، والكتاب المصوّر، والكتب ذات الفصول، وكتب اليافعين، والكتب الواقعية. فجاء الفوز لكتاب «غداً يوم آخر» تأليف داليا المنهل ميرزا، و «بوابة القدس الخفية» لابتسام بركات، و«غطسة» لنور الهدى محمد، و «أبناء الظل» لهالة عباس، و «أنا» لقيس الحنطي. وأكدت الجائزة هذا العام اتساع رقعتها الثقافية بعد استقبالها 407 مشاركات من 22 دولة، في رقم هو الأعلى منذ تأسيسها عام 2009.
وفي كلمتها، قالت مروة العقروبي، إن الجائزة منذ انطلاقتها قبل سبعة عشر عاماً جسّدت رؤية الشيخة بدور القاسمي في «إهداء الطفل العربي أدباً يليق به»، مشيرةً إلى أن كل دورة جديدة تُضيء أسماءً جديدة وترفع من معايير الجودة في صناعة كتاب الطفل العربي.
أما محمد العميمي ممثلاً عن «إي آند الإمارات»، فأكد أن الشراكة مع المجلس الإماراتي لكتب اليافعين تعبّر عن إيمانٍ عميق بأن «صناعة كتاب الطفل مشروع حضاري متكامل»، هدفه تمكين المؤلفين والرسامين والناشرين العرب من إنتاج كتبٍ تصل إلى كل طفلٍ عربي أينما كان.
وتنوّعت موضوعات الأعمال الفائزة بين الخيال والواقع، وتجلّت فيها قيم التسامح وحب المعرفة واكتشاف الذات، ما يعكس نضج تجربة أدب الطفل العربي وقدرته على مواكبة أسئلة الجيل الجديد.
وهكذا تواصل الجائزة الدولية لأدب الطفل العربي، بقيمتها البالغة 1.2 مليون درهم، رسالتها في دعم الإبداع الطفولي وتعزيز مكانة الشارقة كحاضنةٍ للكتاب، وكموئلٍ لحكاياتٍ تنبت ضوءاً في وجدان الأجيال القادمة.
In a celebratory scene befitting literature and imagination, Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority, honored the winners of the seventeenth edition of the International Prize for Arabic Children's Literature presented by "E &", organized by the UAE Board on Books for Young People, during a ceremony held at the Sharjah Expo Center as part of the Sharjah International Book Fair 2025.
The ceremony was attended by Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Marwa Al Aqroubi, and Mohammed Al Aimi, along with a selection of Arab and foreign writers, illustrators, and publishers who celebrated the fruits of a year rich in creativity.
The event witnessed the awarding of 5 works in the categories of early childhood, picture books, chapter books, young adult books, and nonfiction. The winners included "Tomorrow is Another Day" by Dalia Al Manhal Mirza, "The Hidden Gate of Jerusalem" by Ibtisam Barakat, "Dive" by Nour Al Huda Mohammed, "Children of the Shadow" by Hala Abbas, and "Me" by Qais Al Hanti. This year, the prize confirmed its cultural expansion after receiving 407 submissions from 22 countries, the highest number since its establishment in 2009.
In her speech, Marwa Al Aqroubi stated that the prize, since its inception seventeen years ago, has embodied Sheikha Bodour Al Qasimi's vision of "gifting Arab children literature that befits them," noting that each new edition shines a light on new names and raises the standards of quality in the production of Arabic children's books.
Mohammed Al Aimi, representing "E & UAE," affirmed that the partnership with the UAE Board on Books for Young People reflects a deep belief that "the production of children's books is a comprehensive cultural project," aimed at empowering Arab authors, illustrators, and publishers to produce books that reach every Arab child, wherever they may be.
The themes of the winning works varied between fantasy and reality, showcasing values of tolerance, love of knowledge, and self-discovery, reflecting the maturity of the Arabic children's literature experience and its ability to keep pace with the questions of the new generation.
Thus, the International Prize for Arabic Children's Literature, with a value of 1.2 million dirhams, continues its mission to support children's creativity and enhance Sharjah's position as a hub for books and a refuge for stories that illuminate the hearts of future generations.
